9/11 stairway to heaven.

The Survivors' Stairway was successfully moved on Sunday, March 9, 2008 to its temporary location (Vesey Street at Greenwich Street). It will be installed in the September 11th Memorial Museum, during the summer of 2008.

We are happy to announce that our long battle to ensure the survival of the Vesey Street Survivors' Stairway has reached a successful conclusion.

We appreciate the efforts of Governor Spitzer's office, Avi Shick, Chairman, Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, Alice Greenwald, Director, National September 11 Memorial & Museum, and the Lower Manhattan Emergency Preservation Fund.

Do u think they will be able to re - member all the survivors, like in Dawn of the Dead or something

This is an amazing story that I also noticed a when it came out.

Anything having to do with Stairways is symbolic of Freemasonry.

I would love to go to NYC when they have all this set up and see the symbolism they surround the stairs with. I bet that would be a revelatory moment.

We're still seeing the same things!!!

re: zombies: I'm sure this is in bad taste, but it is true, so here goes:

recall when Bush read out all 3000+ names of those who died in 9-11, I started watching it live, and realising how excruciating it would be / that it was actually like he was reading from the Necronomicon (ie - all the deads' names), just thought 'nah you're on your own there' and watched something else or turned off the TV.

btw, does anyone else think of Cthulhu-language when they type in the 'word verification' for these comments..

Boris Johnson has Coronavirus!

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus and is self-isolating in Downing Street. He said he had experienced mild symptoms over the past 24 hours, including a temperature and cough, but would continue to lead the government. Health Secretary Matt Hancock said he had also tested positive while England's Chief Medical Officer, Prof Chris Whitty, has shown symptoms. Another 181 people died with the virus in the past day,  figures showed. It takes the total number of UK deaths to 759, with 14,543 confirmed cases. The daily coronavirus news conference was led by Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove, alongside deputy chief medical officer Dr Jenny Harries and NHS chief executive Simon Stevens.
