Kazmierczak, identified as the gunman in Thursday's shooting rampage at Northern Illinois University, was "an outstanding student" who reportedly stopped taking medication recently and became "somewhat erratic," the university's police chief said Friday. Kazmierczak of Champaign, Illinois, opened fire on a geology class Thursday, shooting 21 people before killing himself. Five people were killed in addition to the shooter. All the victims were from Illinois. The DeKalb County coroner's office identified four of them: Daniel Parmenter, 20, of Westchester; Catalina Garcia, 20, of Cicero; Ryanne Mace, 19, of Carpentersville; and Julianna Gehant, 32, of Meriden. Police arrested a 70-year-old man, only identified his family name Chae, on Ganghwa Island, just west of Seoul, today, Yonhap news agency said, citing an unnamed police officer. Cable news network YTN also carried a similar report. The fire broke out Sunday night and burned down the wooden structure at the top of the Namdaemun gate, which once formed part of a wall that encircled the South Korean capital. The structure collapsed as hundreds of firefighters attempted to put the blaze under control, officials said. The gate's large stone base remained intact. WRIGHTWOOD, California (AP) -- Mountain avalanches killed an off-duty ski patrol worker and left another person missing Friday as California strained under nearly a week of snow and rain. One avalanche struck Friday afternoon at Wrightwood in the snow-laden San Gabriel Mountains. A 23-year-old employee of the Mountain High ski area was pulled from the debris but died at a hospital later that afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said. His name was not released. As night fell, searchers were still looking for another person who was missing after a second avalanche about a half-mile from the first, on national forest land. WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Firefighters quickly doused a two-alarm fire Wednesday in the historic Eisenhower Executive Office Building, which houses the vice president's ceremonial offices and the majority of the White House staff. Firefighting crews used axes to break windows on the third floor of the ornate building shortly after the two-alarm blaze broke out after 9 a.m. The fire started near the vice presidential offices, CNN's Kathleen Koch reported. At its peak, heavy black smoke streamed from the building. Within an hour, smoke had stopped pouring from the building and was replaced by a fine mist of water, which the firefighters used to ventilate the building until they could get fans set up. Vice President Dick Cheney's working offices are in the West Wing of the White House, where he was at the time of the fire . (AP) — Two students were found shot to death in an apparent home invasion at their Louisiana State University apartment, and officials decided to keep the campus open Friday while police searched for three suspects. The victims, Chandrasekhar Reddy Komma and Kiran Kumar Allam, both international Ph.D. students, were found inside an apartment at the Edward Gay complex late Thursday night after authorities received a call seeking medical attention. Both men had been shot once in the head, said Charles Zewe, an LSU system spokesman. Three men were seen leaving the area, and police were searching for them. "From what we're being told, Komma was bound with a computer cable and shot," Zewe said. "The other man was found near the door." LAS VEGAS -- Hospital officials said that only one teen remains in critical condition after six were shot during a bus stop shooting. One is still in serious condition while three have been upgraded to good condition and one male has been discharged from University Medical Center.The shooting happened just before 2 p.m. Tuesday near Walnut and Alexander roads .Students said they were exiting a school bus from Mojave High School when two teens shot six to 10 rounds at fellow riders. One girl and five boys were injured, two of whom were shot in the stomach and the rest in extremities.The two students who were shot in the torso have been listed in critical condition, paramedics said. They did not say how the other four teens were doing, but all of them were receiving treatment at UMC within 30 minutes of the shooting, emergency crews said.

The Series was sponsored by Verizon wireless. I personally believe Verizon is an anagram for ZION . Wikipedia tells us this about the word " Zion came to designate the area of Jerusalem where the fortress stood, and later became a metonym for Solomon 's Temple in Jerusalem ". Therefore, it is safe to say that Verizon and the movie resonate with stone masons. Especially, if a movie like National Treasure is presented right before the Tin Man came on.
